Financial Plot Types

TeraPlot provides the following Financial/Trading Analysis plots described below. All plots can be created using the Financial Data Graph Wizard.

  • High-Low-Close. Plots High-Low-Close data over a given range. A vertical line is used tp represent the high-low range, with a short horizontal notch representing the closing price. The line colour and notch colour can be individually set. Line thickness and notch scaling can also be specified.

  • Open-High-Low-Close. Plots Open-High-Low-Close data over a given range. A vertical line is used tp represent the high-low range, with a short horizontal notch on the left representing the opening price, and one on the right representing the closing price. The line colour and notch colour can be individually set. Line thickness and notch scaling can also be specified.

  • Open-High-Low-Close Candlestick. Plots Open-High-Low-Close data over a given range using the candlestick display method. This consists of a body representing the opening and closing prices, with vertical lines extending to represent the high and low prices. The body colour can be set to indicate whether a closing price was greater than the opening price or vice versa.

  • High-Low-Close-Volume. Combines a High-Low-Close plot with a bar plot indicating volume traded, with the volume scale displayed on axis at the right of the graph.

  • Open-High-Low-Close-Volume. Combines an Open-High-Low-Close plot with a bar plot indicating volume traded, with the volume scale displayed on axis at the right of the graph..

  • Open-High-Low-Close Candlestick-Volume. Combines an Open-High-Low-Close (candlestick) plot with a bar plot indicating volume traded, with the volume scale displayed on axis at the right of the graph..
